Timothy (Tim) Jacob Lack is a Vancouver lawyer with over 28 years of experience practicing in the areas of real estate, secured and commercial lending, wills, estates and business law. Tim founded Redpoint Law LLP in 2021 and is proud of the dedicated and focused services that this new firm brings to its loyal clients.
Representative Work Highlights Tim has been the responsible lawyer for well over 10,000 real estate transactions, and he has acted for buyers, sellers, borrowers and for banks, credit unions and many other institutional and private lenders. Tim has been involved in land assemblies, office and industrial leasing, including landlord and tenant disputes. As part of his real estate development work, Tim has counselled clients from acquisition, through development and to final sales on condo projects, including mixed use and hotel developments. Tim is also a busy secured lending lawyer acting for lenders and borrowers on commercial transactions. His work with private lenders is extensive and he has been retained to provide expert opinions on private lending issues for other litigation lawyers and firms. He has lectured on many occasions to other lawyers, bankers and brokers on private lending. He is on the board of the Mortgage Investment Association of BC, and he is an annual presenter for the Mortgage Brokers Association of BC (MBABC) on legal matters. Tim also helps to review learning materials for the MBABC. Tim represents hundreds of clients in all areas of business and commercial deals and is well experienced in the issues surrounding the purchase and sale of businesses. Finally, his wills and estates practice continues to grow and Tim prides himself on providing delicate and trusted advice to his clients in this area of law. Education Tim completed a degree in honours business administration from the Ivey School of Business at Western University and worked as a North American-wide sales representative for Canada’s premier resource companies, Noranda Inc. Tim graduated from law school at the University of British Columbia in 1993. He was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1994. Falko Wong (B. Comm. 2008 J.D., 2011 University of British Columbia, called to the Bar of British Columbia, 2012) is an experienced corporate solicitor and partner at Redpoint Law who practices in the areas of real estate, finance, corporate law, commercial transactions and estate planning.
Falko regularly represents institutional and private lenders, and acts for individuals and commercial borrowers on all manners of financing transactions. He also works for real estate developers, and buyers and sellers of both residential and commercial real estate properties. Falko also acts for individuals and companies in a broad range of corporate and commercial Matters at all stages of the business cycle. Scott McInnes (Kwantlen Polytechnic University 2014, J.D. University of Victoria 2018, called to the Bar of British Columbia, 2019) has a general solicitor’s practice that includes real estate, private lending, commercial leasing, and general corporate law.
On the real estate side of his practice, Scott routinely acts for buyers, sellers, and those looking to refinance their properties, in both the commercial and residential contexts. He has a considerable commercial leasing practice where he acts for landlords and tenants in drafting, reviewing, and/or negotiating commercial leases. Scott’s corporate practice includes incorporations, shareholder agreements, reorganizations, and tax-deferred rollovers. Scott acts for corporate clients of all sizes, ranging from start-ups to multi-million-dollar businesses. Norman Chow (University of British Columbia, 1983) was called to the British Columbia bar in 1984. Norman has extensive experience in commercial, real estate, and corporate transactions.

Jerry Shi received his Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia in 2022. While there, Jerry received the Thorsteinssons Prize in Taxation for excellent academic achievement in Taxation I.
During law school, Jerry volunteered at the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program at their Richmond, BC clinic, where he interviewed and provided summary legal advice to clients. Additionally, Jerry assisted in preparing memos for the Solicitor’s Legal Opinions Committee of British Columbia as part of a larger project on the validity of electronic signatures on agreements in British Columbia. He worked part time on a remote basis during his degree for a large arbitration chamber in Toronto, assisting in remote hearings and matters. In his spare time, Jerry enjoys photography, exploring the BC backcountry, cooking, and volunteering with community organizations. During the COVID pandemic, he helped deliver groceries bi-weekly to families in need. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
